We entered the competition full of hope in a tight group. The lads didn’t disappoint. In the first couple of games the tackling was hard, fair, low and 100% committed. We comfortably beat Wirral B 6-0. This was probably our best performance, with some very good passing, running and tackling rugby. We then played Old Parks. We were 7-0 up and the game was cut short – we agreed to only play one half as the Old Parks were struggling to keep up. The challenge of Wirral A came next. This was a hard fought encounter with no quarter asked or given, it ended up 1-1, a fair result for two very good sides. Chester came next; they are always a well-drilled good side. He raced the length of the pitch and scored. 4-2 down, the mountain was too high to climb, Final score 4-2. A great game both teams deserve great credit . All day it was a pleasure to watch the rugby on display

In the Old Parks game Rob was so unlucky not to score , he ran nearly the length of the field bouncing off 2 opponents and running into touch 2 yards from the try line . In the backs there was some excellent running, particularly Garrett who looked like he was going to score every time he got the ball. Mattie C, Jonny, made some excellent runs and tackled well in defence. Sam McD scored an exc
