We travelled over to Wallasey and came away with a very creditable 22 – 8 win over Wallasey second’s. Four tries, two to Tim Woodward, one to debutant Adam Bramhall and an interception try by Mike Clarke thankfully he didn’t have to run too far, Mike also converted on of the tries.
The team performed admirably with a strong emphasis on defence. A good solid performance by the forwards allowed a strong back line up to put pressure on the home team.
An excellent debut from Adam topped off with a well taken try.
As a fair and unbiased commentator such as myself it would be clearly deficient of me not to mention Nev's heroic effort to protect his playing colleague. This was achieved by getting himself sent off for a ten minutes in the cooler.
Overall an excellent days work consisting of both hard graft and fast running.
Looking forward to Mossley Hill next week.
