A nice little fifer

Oldershaw arrived at Malone field with twelve players in tow and as such in order to allow for an even match the sides were evened off so many thanks to the players who played for the opposition, its not an ideal situation to be faced having to play against your team mates but in order to allow the game to be played it is a necessary evil , so once again, thanks guys !

The match itself started and finished in the same vein, and should have been re-scheduled "Nick Hearn versus Oldershaw". Man of the match Nick bagged himself a nice little fifer, going over for five tries and showing some deft footwork in the process, Of course one man does not a team make and as a whole the team played well. Anselms have identified a strong area of weekness in the forward play at the weekend and will be addressing that over the coming weeks, but other than that a good solid team performance once again.
Other try scorers were Neil Brookes who grabbed two very well taken tries, Andy Smith who showed a good turn of pace and as the author it is incumbent upon me to highlight what was to many the spectacle of the day when Tim Woodward took a crash ball and proceeded to run like a scene from Forrest Gump with all four limbs travelling in opposite directions to the try line.
Despite what you may have seen in e-mails the final score was 55 - 22.
