Ducks have a Jolly Boys outing.

Halloween Nightmare.

The stage was set, The Ducks are having a coach trip to Oldershaw. We meet up at Birkenhead Bus Station, Saturday afternoon 1.30pm for our next league game. The boys have all dressed the same, regulation North Face outfits to blend in, it's can be dangerous around here. As the 409 bus pulls up and we start to board, Jamie Owens is late again, but here he comes legging it across Birkenhead Market being chased by the local scally's, who are chanting "1871" and "Birken Vegas" whilst in hot pursuit. The fleet footed hooker hops onboard just in time.
The Ducks have been on a bit of a roll and today's not the day we want this to change, not in a local derby. Alan's checks the lads passports as we go over the Four Bridges, we are going to Wallasey. Dom Neville having a rest from 1st team duties now decides it's time for his usual Naked Bus antics, much to the amusement of the OAP's also on board, who decide whatever he's wearing needs ironing. Kris Lewis and Cal Graham have been having a discussion about hairdressers, both are suffering a bad hair day. Indeed Cal only just made the trip, he arrived back from Essex this morning, having left on Thursday on his scooter which finally gave up the ghost outside the club.
Scott Tunna is meeting us at Oldershaw having done a sponsored walk from his house, 400 yards down the road, dedication for you.
It's nice to see Martyn Brown back in the team, but only because his fiancé is our resident photographer, but today she didn't put film in the camera so we have no pictures. Tom Gilbert has been allowed to come and watch because his girlfriend is the team mascot, she's been teaching Tom how to use Pom Poms but he keeps dropping them, nothing unusual there.
So to the game itself, Tom Redfearn gets four tries, which are all converted by Wellsy, Tom now takes over from Theo as leading try scorer.
Back on the bus for the journey home and the lads are all treated to Paulo's pizza courtesy of Johnno. Diffy Duck goes to Alan Dear, must have been asleep at selection, Duck of the Day goes to me, it's the only chance of me getting it.
Sugar it's 5pm on Saturday, I've just woken from a nightmare, but the 2s didn't lose, and we're still top of the division.
Disappointing not to have had a game today and with sterner tests to come over next few weeks, let's get down to training, you can be sure St.Marys and Helsby are, we're the team to beat.
Mother Duck.
