Based in the North West of England, Anselmians is proud of its traditional rugby values but of equal importance is our focus on progression. We are a club with a desire to develop players, compete consistently and build sustainably for the long term.

At the heart of that ambition is a strong coaching and performance environment. Our senior
squad benefits from the experience of ex-Premiership player, Chris Pilgrim, within the coaching group. He brings extensive first-hand knowledge of the professional game into our community club setting. Training is structured, purposeful and demanding, with a clear emphasis on decision-making, skill execution and physical performance.

This environment is directly reflected in our representative honours.

This season alone, seven Anselmians players were part of the Cheshire County Championship winning squad, a significant achievement that highlights both individual quality and the standards being set by the coaches. Our setup includes current Cheshire coach, Derek ‘Degsy’ Salisbury. A former Caldy and Anselmians front row forward, Degsy further reinforces the link between Anselmians and the county pathway. Five of our players were selected for the Regional 1 North West representative side, underlining individual player improvement and the depth of talent within our senior group. We sit on the cusp of promotion to the English National Leagues.

High-quality pitches, exceptional amenities and a strong matchday setup allow players to train and perform at their best, whilst also creating a welcoming home for members, supporters and families.
