No sooner than the dust settles on last season than the Rugby Management Team are preparing for next season.
New Player Coach, Liam McGovern, has now been joined by a marquee recruit to bolster the squad in time for pre-season training, starting early July.
St Anselm's College old boy, Chris, now 33, attended Loughborough where he gained representative honours for England Students and England Counties. He played at scrum-half for Newcastle Falcons in the Guinness Premiership and made his debut in 2009 at Welford Road against Leicester Tigers and went on to play another five seasons and 88 games for the club. He finished his career with Yorkshire Carnegie.
On signing for the Saints, Chris said, "I'm really happy to be back at the Club next season. I grew up watching my brothers, Steve and Martin, playing for the first team. I played my first season of senior rugby at Anselmians when I was 18 and it was a real foundation for my future career. Steve said he was getting back involved and asked if I fancied playing again. The Club means a lot to me, so I jumped at it."
