The 2nd team fielded its FIFTIETH different player yesterday in only its seventh game. We beat a far more experienced Broughton Park 3rd team 45 - 17.
The backline had an average age of 19 (maybe they would have been better of fighting in Vietnam) two lads playing only their 2nd game for us, one making his debut.
The captain is only 19 and I thought led his team very well, its not easy keeping Spot and Pove quiet.
We had 9 changes from the side that battered Sandbach 3's last week, we lost 2 players on Saturday morning, so maybe their lack of continuity, lapses in concentration could be forgiven.
What won't help them are the NEGATIVE comments from the support on the line, rugby years ago must have been awesome if you were all as perfect as you expect these youngsters to be, get off their backs and get behind them, it's the least they deserve.
