First Match
Next Saturday 3rd August club members & supporters will have the opportunity to see the players in action for the first time for season 2019 – 20.

Llandudno RFC are the opposition for a pre-season squad match, the game will be played at Vauxhall’s with a 2.30pm kick off.

So if you want to get back into the swing of all things rugby come along to Vauxhall’s next Saturday, watch the game, have a few beers and renew old acquaintances.

We have a second pre-season game away at New Brighton on 17th August, the first team then have a Cheshire Vase cup tie away at Wilmslow on 31st August.

The league program starts on 7th September when the 1st team travel to Manchester, the 2nd team host Wilmslow 2 at Vauxhall’s and the 3rd team travel up the Wirral to play Prenton 2.

Training

Training has now started, every Tuesday & Thursday evening at Vauxhall’s Sports & Social Club, 6.45pm start.

We have a new coaching group led by Head Coach Liam McGovern who will be assisted by Liam Sadler, Steve Pilgrim and former Premiership scrumhalf, Chris Pilgrim, a stellar coaching team.

The rugby committee have stressed that training is not just for 1st team players, everyone benefits from regular training. They are keen to involve everyone so that every player is familiar with how we want to play and that they can move seamlessly up the teams.

If you have recently finished at university and are back in the area and want to play again we want to see you.
