Eastham Development Update
All systems go on the new clubhouse development
Anyone who has visited Eastham recently will have seen our new pitches, but what of the new clubhouse.
The contracted start date for the new clubhouse was 12 August and the builders have been on site to do some preliminary survey work.
There has been a short delay because of an overhanging tree restricting access. But, this was removed on Sunday and the builder's site facilities will be delivered on Friday and there will be "spades in the ground" from Monday 16 September.
The builders are expected to complete the work within 38 weeks from 12 August so the building should be handed over early in May 2019. We will then need a few weeks to commission the building. So, we would expect to be operational by, at the latest, early July, 2020. In very good time for the run-up to season 2020-2021.
