DOR, Jamie Kimpton previews today's matches.

A warm welcome to the players, supporters and officials of Eccles RUFC for our first ever league fixture.

Eccles have started the season better than Saints and sit in 3rd place having lost just once.

Saints have experienced a mixed couple of weeks. Having beaten Bolton well at home, we travelled to De La Salle last week and lost out narrowly .

It would be remiss of me not to comment on last week; only to say what was witnessed  has  no place within rugby and we are working closely with our members and their families both in support of them and the game of rugby as a whole .

This is proving to be a very competitive league and I'm sure today's game will be keenly contested between 2 teams looking to play expansive rugby .

Today we welcome back Gav Hughes
following injury into the front row to make his home debut. Please give him a big Saints welcome - you can't miss him!

Behind the scrum Ewan Nolan moves into the centre to partner James Otutaha and Matt Brookes returns to one wing with Mark Peterson returning from injury occupying the other.
Chris & Toby are finding the going tough for the 2nd XV. Today they travel to Crewe & Nantwich with a depleted squad due to injury and unavailability.

Tim & The Mavs continue with their unbeaten start to the season having beaten the "Bobbies of Merseyside" last week. Today they play Oldershaw looking to preserve their good start.

Enjoy your day and please be loud and gracious in your support whilst being mindful of our opposition and match day official .
