This was supposed to be a blank Saturday but for the fixture back-log caused by the earlier extreme weather conditions. It is a testament to the commitment of the current squad of players that they have all made themselves available on this bank holiday weekend.

However, most of the management team is away on holiday. But this gives the opportunity for assistant coach, Andy (Pouchie) Powell to step into Skinny McKinney's shoes - ( no, not ski boots! -Ed.) for the day. The "international coach of mystery" is overseas, again, this time on a skiing trip. To be fair, he was committed to this school trip and I am sure he won't enjoy it in the least!

Steve Hearn assists on the line today - will this become a permanent role?

With DOR, Jamie Kimpton spending Easter with his family at one of his many expatriate dachas, and the scrupulous Team Manager, Andy O'Connor, also away on holiday, veteran player, Steve ("Spot") Hearn moves from "off-side" to "on-the-side" assisting Pouchie on the line. Is this an indication of impending retirement from playing to join the management team next season? You heard it first here!
